This subtly sultry look beams “Sandra D” to me. A modern day, less costume-y take. Maybe about half way between her transformation from girl next door, quiet confidence to full blown sexy, bad ass. Which is a good place to land.
You can’t go wrong with a pair of tight black jeans, but the star of this outfit is the shirt. The innocent heather grey draped into a shape that is both baggy and comfortable yet fitted in the right areas is near perfection. It accentuates the wrists, another tiny body part that I love. It cinches in at the waist, which works well with high waisted pants. My favorite aspect of the shirt is the neckline, which is never quite defined and ever changing with each movement, always baring the collar bone on one side, the other, or both. Another fun detail is the button up back side.
The accessories take this outfit up a few notches. The shoes and clutch are matching in material, suede. Keeping the shoes neutral with the rest of the outfit, the clutch adds a pop of rich color. The crystal-cluster drop earrings add the perfect amount of shine to an otherwise muted palette. The sunglasses, which I wear on the daily, with this particular outfit, somehow, give off an air of mystery.
